Workshop for Policy Makers held in Brussels

20-21 January 2015

On January 20th-21st�2015, ADOCARE held a Workshop in Brussels for Policy Makers working in the field of adolescent mental health, from different European countries. The first day of the workshop gathered directors of institutes and care services, ombudsmen for children, governmental organisations and representatives of governments to actively participate in the discussion rounds to reply to questions on the following topics:

-Administrative data collection

-Assessment of needs &�treatment gap

-Policy on adolescent mental�health

-Legislation on adolescent�mental health

-Financial funding

-Integration & defragmentation

-Prevention & promotion

-Balanced care

-Evaluation

On the second day, we had presentations on existing good practices

Together with raising awareness on the need of mental health care for young people, this workshop was aimed at gathering input and experiences to formulate guidelines and recommendations to improve and enhance the establishment of high quality mental health care for adolescents across Europe.
